A nutrient-rich compost, drawn from land and sea.
Coastal Compost is a peat-free compost blend designed to support soil structure, root establishment and microbial activity. Available in bags or as a 1,300L loose tipped delivery for larger gardens and projects.

What Coastal Compost is
A blend of composted organic matter with coastal inputs and trace minerals. It is designed to feed the soil as well as the plant — intended to help improve structure, moisture retention, root health and microbial activity over time.
- Composted organic matter and green waste
- Coastal inputs and natural trace minerals
- Slow-release, low-leaching feed profile
- Free from peat and synthetic fertilisers
Designed to support soil that quietly does the work.
Designed to support root establishment
Coastal inputs and humic matter intended to help plants establish well.
Helps support soil structure
Aims to improve workability of compacted, sandy or clay-heavy soils.
Slow-release feed profile
Designed for sustained, gentle nutrition through the season.
Suitable for living soil
Built to support microbial activity — fungi, bacteria and worms.
Helps with moisture retention
Organic matter can help soils hold water for longer between waterings.
Suitable across the garden
Vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, raised beds and tired lawns.
One compost, several ways to use it.
Straightforward guidance for common jobs in the garden.

- 01
New planting
Mix one part Coastal Compost into the planting hole and backfill. Water in well.
- 02
Raised beds
Top up with a 5–8 cm layer each season and lightly fork through the surface.
- 03
Soil improvement
Spread a 3–5 cm layer over tired beds in autumn or early spring; let worms do the work.
- 04
Top dressing
Apply a thin, even layer around established plants in spring for gentle, sustained feeding.
- 05
Lawn repair
Rake a fine 1 cm layer into thin patches, overseed and water.
- 06
Trees & shrubs
Form a 5 cm mulch ring at the drip line, keeping it clear of the trunk.
